Of all the Catawba Rivers lakes "...Lake Rhodhiss...has the densest population of fish. Rhodhiss averages 605.8 pounds of fish per mile, compared to 103.5 for Norman. Surveys indicated that largemouth bass as big as 8 to 10 pounds can be found there, compared to 5 to 8 pounders in the heavily fished Lake Wylie."
